The production of the play “Antigone” is inspired by the play of the same name by J. Anouilh, based on the ancient Greek tragedy of Sophocles. Written and brought to life on stage in 1943, during the occupation of Paris by the Nazis, the play explores the motives of rebellion against the hypocrisy and cruelty of the authorities, opposition to social conformism. The rebellion of the main character still sounds relevant today, recalling eternal values - freedom of choice, honesty, youthful idealism, love and loneliness.
“Antigone” asks questions that every viewer will have to find answers to. This performance is not only a theatrical performance, but also a deep reflection on the role of each of us in life. Age limit: 15+.
