News - Weather Alert: Temperature Swings and Storms Expected

A significant weather pattern shift is anticipated from April 26 in the evening through May 1 in Yerevan and across Armenia. During this period, residents should prepare for intermittent rain and thunderstorms, characterized by gusting winds reaching up to 16-19 m/s during storm activity. Specific forecasts indicate that April 30 during the day and the night of May 1 will remain dry. However, from the afternoon of April 26 till May 1, the nation will experience sporadic showers with potential thunderstorms and hail. On April 27, some regions may encounter heightened rainfall intensity. The wind, originating from the southwest at 2-5 m/s, is predicted to accelerate to 16-20 m/s during thunderstorms. The anticipated weather shift will result in a temperature drop of 4-6°C between April 27-29, followed by a rebound during April 30-May 1.
