News - Italian analyst condemns Azerbaijani 'humanitarian approach' and global realpolitik

Italian analyst Giuliano Bifolchi took to his social media platform to criticize what he termed the "humanitarian approach" of Azerbaijan, highlighting that the issue goes beyond President Ilham Aliyev's leadership. He drew attention to the atrocities witnessed during the 2020 Karabakh conflict, including rapes, beheadings, and tortures, which were documented by Azerbaijani troops. “The "famous humanitarian approach" of Azeri people... it is not only Aliyev the problem, and we know... just remind you in 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict we witnessed raping, beheading, torturing filmed by Azeri forces,” he wrote on his X (former Twitter) miroblog. “I can add: Russia prefers cooperating with Azerbaijan and Turkey for gas and transport. EU prefer the Azerbaijani gas instead of human rights. USA needs Azerbaijan and Turkey to counter Russia and support its regional strategy. Israel supports Azerbaijan against Iran and no care of Armenia,” the analyst wrote.
