In a strategic move to converge financial acumen with technological prowess, Ameriabank, in collaboration with the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), hosted the Investor's Day event in Yerevan. The event highlighted the critical role of investment culture and financial literacy in the tech sector's expansion. Ameriabank, committed to nurturing a sophisticated investment atmosphere in Armenia, took the opportunity to integrate representatives from the tech industry into discussions about local and international market trends. The bank's brokerage team presented investment fundamentals and strategies aimed at tech-sector affiliates, underscoring the community's pivotal role in driving investment in Armenia. Diana Akopyan, Co-Director of Foreign Exchange and Brokerage at Ameriabank, noted the institution’s mission to enhance investment understanding and practice throughout the country. She emphasized the analytical mindset of the tech community as instrumental in this cultural shift. A key highlight was the introduction of MyInvest, a comprehensive platform providing access to approximately 70,000 stocks across 48 financial markets, including Armenian and international bonds, Eurobonds, and ETFs. These digital solutions not only offer new avenues for collaboration but also mark a significant step towards inclusivity in financial growth. A monumental reveal was that Ameriabank, in conjunction with UATE, effectively made Armenia's first impact bonds accessible through MyInvest, symbolizing the tangible outcomes of their cooperation. Sarkis Karapetyan, Executive Director of UATE, hailed this achievement as pivotal in bridging the tech community with impactful investment opportunities. Discussions also ventured into broadening financial expertise, with UATE President Armen Kocharyan stressing the importance of monetary management as a core competency within tech leadership – an area currently underserved but ripe for development. Ameriabank and UATE continue their partnership unabated, with plans to enhance Armenia’s status as a tech hub bolstered by robust financial practices. Editha Kazaryan, Deputy Director of UATE, expressed optimism for more profound strategic alliances, underscoring past collaborations, such as engineering lab initiatives, as stepping stones. The Investor’s Day series continues, with the subsequent event slated for April 30, destined to delve into the nuances of the Armenian bond market, thus perpetuating the dialogue on financial innovation and cross-sector cooperation.
