YEREVAN, April 14. Armenia is determined to resolve its differences with Russia through peaceful dialogue, stated Alen Simonyan, the Speaker of the National Assembly. In light of recent tensions regarding the annulment of the Proshyan Cognac Factory's license in Russia and issues surrounding the supply of Jermuk mineral water, Armenia reaffirms it does not seek conflict. During a recent briefing, Simonyan assured that all problems will be addressed and resolved diplomatically, emphasizing, 'We are moving forward; no one plans to fight with anyone. We pose no threat to Russia and have no such intentions.' Simonyan’s remarks were in response to the legal challenge posed by Russia’s federal service regarding non-grape spirits detected in the Armenian cognac, a finding that failed to meet Russian GOST standards. Armenia remains committed to addressing these differences through regulatory and diplomatic channels, acknowledging that such issues can arise between nations and must be managed prudently. Earlier reports indicated Russia's Federal Alcohol Market Regulatory Authority sought to revoke the Proshyan Cognac Factory's operating license following a series of product evaluations.
