News - Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia discusses Artsakh crisis with UN Official

RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gevorgyan raised grave concerns during a meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide Alice Wairimu Nderitu. The discussion focused on the recent Azerbaijani attack, marked by deliberate targeting of civilians and infrastructure. As the press service of the RA MFA reports, the Azerbaijani assault, targeting of the civilian population and infrastructure, coupled with the illegal 10-month blockade of the Lachin Corridor, clearly reveals Azerbaijan's intent to perpetrate ethnic cleansing against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. The meeting, which took place in New York as part of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, emphasized the vital role of UN mechanisms in preventing genocide and mass crimes in Nagorno-Karabakh.
