In a candid reflection following Team USA's defeat to Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic, Aaron Judge shared his thoughts on the game and the intense atmosphere at LoanDepot Park. "They made their pitches, worked the corners on both sides. When we did get a pitch, we either popped it up or hit it on the ground. Stuff like that can't happen," Judge lamented, emphasizing the missed opportunities and the need for offensive execution. "When you get a pitch to hit, you have to be able to drive. Even if you get one pitch in a game, you got to do something with it. They executed their pitches and their game plan. And we just couldn't get rolling offensively." Despite the loss, Judge marveled at the energy and excitement generated by fans, as he recounted the electric atmosphere surrounding the event. "It was action-packed out there," Judge recalled. "It was incredible getting a chance to see all of the fans coming out. They’re cheering. They’re screaming. They’re on their feet from the very first pitch. So, I loved it." After the defeat, Judge shifted his focus back to the Yankees while acknowledging his persistent vexation over the outcome. "I'm always fired up for the Yankees," he stated, while also affirming his commitment to future performances with Team USA. "But I'm still pi---- about this. So, I'm looking forward to the next time we get to throw on the red, white and blue and take care of business." Judge's resolve to improve and his appreciation for the passionate fan support underscore his dedication to excellence, both in domestic and international play.
