Chan, a graduate student from Hamilton, Ontario, showcased formidable prowess defending the net in all 32 games this season, achieving a remarkable 23-7-2 record. With five shutouts, Chan led the Hockey East league, while her goals-against average of 1.62 ranked second overall. Ranked third nationally with a 94.7 save percentage, Chan's contribution was crucial in UConn's successful run. Her exemplary performance comes after representing China in the 2020 Olympics and leading UConn to its maiden NCAA Tournament in 2023. Despite the outcome of the current Hockey East tournament, UConn is primed to receive an at-large bid for the NCAA playoffs. In addition to Chan's accolades, four of her teammates have earned all-conference honors, highlighting the team's depth and talent. Claire Murdoch, recognized as a second-team all-conference skater, has asserted her dominance with 11 goals and 18 assists. Julia Pellerin, another second-team pick, is noted for scoring 11 goals, including six decisive game-winners. On defense, Maya Serdachny joins on the second team, while team captain Kyla Josifovic, with a team-leading 34 points, graces the third squad.
