In 2025, Armenia witnessed a notable growth in its economic activity index, marking a 9.1% increase from the previous year. This surge was primarily driven by a significant upswing in the construction sector, which saw an impressive 20.2% growth, translating to the generation of 811 billion drams. Services also played a crucial role, experiencing a 10.5% rise and reaching a total of 4.1 trillion drams. Meanwhile, the industrial sector expanded by 4.7% to 3.3 trillion drams, and agriculture reported a 5.6% increase, contributing approximately 1.1 trillion drams. Experts highlight various external environmental factors, such as economic shifts due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, as contributing elements to this economic performance. Despite the positive domestic indicators, the export and import volumes exhibited substantial declines of 36.1% and 23.6% respectively, suggesting challenging international trade conditions.
