As 2025 draws to a close, Armenian emergency medical services are gearing up for the holiday season with enhanced operational strategies to tackle a potential surge in calls. Under the guidance of Deputy Minister of Health, Armen Gasparyan, a strategic meeting was held to plan the necessary measures to ensure the well-being of citizens during this busy time. The Director of the Republican Emergency Service, Sahak Hakobyan, presented a detailed report showcasing the growth and effectiveness of the emergency response network. Compared to previous years, there has been a marked increase in the number of operational substations and stations, which have tripled to better meet the demands of the public. This expansion is part of a broader initiative to improve response times and accessibility to medical care. Hakobyan emphasized the importance of this expansion, especially during the holiday season when emergency calls tend to rise due to adverse weather conditions and increased social gatherings. As part of their comprehensive plan, additional medical brigades will be on standby to respond promptly to emergencies across the region. This proactive approach is designed to mitigate the impact of both unforeseen incidents during holiday festivities and seasonal health issues, ensuring that all citizens have timely access to medical services. The Armenian Citizen’s Emergency Service is adopting a more resilient operational model, incorporating advanced technological communication systems and more efficient resource management to handle a potential influx of requests. This strategic enhancement not only aims to optimize service delivery during the festive period but also strengthens the overall healthcare framework within the country. Moving forward, the emergency services plan to leverage these improvements to maintain high standards of healthcare delivery throughout the year, safeguarding public health and safety.
