News - EU monitoring mission in Armenia reinforces patrols at Azerbaijan border areas, near Sotk village

The European Union monitoring mission in Armenia (EUMA) has reinforced patrols at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border areas and line of confrontation, as well as near Sotk village, to report on any military and security developments on the ground. EUMA noted about this on X—former Twitter. “We reiterate our commitment to the mandate and to contributing to stabilising the situation,” EUMA added.  At around 10:50pm Wednesday, the units of the Azerbaijani armed forces had opened fire, from small arms, in the direction of the Armenian military positions located in the Sotk village area of Gegharkunik Province.
