

On September 20, in New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah al Saud, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, both ministers discussed ways to establish and enhance relations and cooperation between Armenia and Saudi Arabia. They expressed their readiness to work towards forming bilateral and multilateral agendas, fostering cooperation in mutually beneficial areas. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also briefed his Saudi counterpart on the recent aggression initiated by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) on September 19. He emphasized the importance of condemning the use of force or threats of force by international actors in the ongoing situation and preventing mass crimes in Nagorno-Karabakh. “Spoke about steps to foster diplomatic relations & prospects to develop bilateral agenda in different fields of interest. Presented regional situation & Azerbaijani aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh,” Mirzoyan wrote on his X (former Twitter) account.
