News - Armenpress: Belgium Armenians stage silent protest in Brussels

The Armenian community of Belgium on Wednesday carried out a silent demonstration in one of the busiest squares of Brussels, Claude Monet Square, to condemn the ethnic cleansing of the Armenian population of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) and the genocidal policy of Azerbaijan, Armenpress reported. Initially, an Armenian song and dance concert dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of Armenia's independence was planned there. But considering the military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan on Tuesday in Artsakh, this concert was canceled and replaced by a silent protest. Belgian MP Georges Dallemagne spoke at the event. After speaking in support of the Armenians of Artsakh, he condemned the inaction of the international community, including Europe and Belgium, in the current situation in Artsakh. In 2020, Dallemagne was in Artsakh during the war and saw the suffering of Artsakh Armenians with his own eyes.
