

Yerevan, December 15. /ARKA/. New batches of wheat being delivered to Armenia by rail through Azerbaijan are already on the way, said Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan. "The deliveries of wheat to Armenia by rail via the territory of Azerbaijan continue. Currently, new batches are on the way," Papoyan said at a briefing on Monday. When asked from which countries the wheat is imported, Papoyan did not answer. "When the wheat arrives, I will publish information about it. This concerns the second or third grades of wheat. At the moment I cannot say anything more," Papoyan said. About supplies of wheat to Armenia via the new route On November 7, a train with Kazakh wheat (about 1,000 tons) arrived at the Ayrum railway station, having traversed Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Two days earlier, a train with Russian grain (15 wagons) arrived in Armenia, having passed through Azerbaijan and Georgia.
