Armenia will gain more benefits from engaging with TRIPP than other countries, according to the U.S. ambassador.

Yerevan, December 15. /ARKA/. Armenia will gain more advantages from leveraging the 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity' (TRIPP) than other countries. This was stated by the United States Ambassador to Armenia Christina Quinn in an interview with CivilNet. According to her, this route will help connect East with West, West with East, and ultimately Central Asia with Western Europe. 'The Caucasus has long been an obstacle to this route for various geopolitical reasons. By creating a safe and reliable route both to the north and to the south, which will pass through Nakhchivan, then through Armenia — to Gyumri and the Turkish province of Kars, a transit path connecting East with West and vice versa will be opened, from which almost all the countries through which it passes will benefit,' Quinn noted. The ambassador emphasized that Armenia may gain more benefits than other countries, since for more than 30 years the eastern and western borders of Armenia have been closed. 'During the development of TRIPP it is provided that it will be developed jointly with the United States through some joint venture, the creation of which we are currently promoting. Armenia will be constantly at the negotiating table to contribute to its development and ensure compliance with its territorial integrity, sovereignty and jurisdiction. Therefore, I believe TRIPP gives Armenia very reliable guarantees that it will not encounter the problems that caused concern,' Quinn said. About the TRIPP route The agreement on the TRIPP project ('Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity') was reached between the leaders of Armenia, the United States and Azerbaijan and was sealed by the trilateral declaration signed in Washington on August 8, 2025. On December 10, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the rights to develop the necessary infrastructure for rail and road networks, as well as oil and gas pipelines, and fiber-optic cables, will be held by the Armenian-American JV 'TRIPP Company', which will be registered in Armenia. The implementation and construction phase is planned to begin in 2026.
