Danielle Collins opened up about the challenges of dating after finding success as an athlete. The 31-year-old said it's difficult for a popular woman to date a man and attributed it to a narrowed dating pool, noting that the pool seems infinite when a man is successful. 'When you're successful as a guy, the number of people who flock to you is infinite. You have a lot more options when you're successful as a guy, but as a woman, as you become more successful, the dating pool narrows a lot,' Collins said on the Nothing Major Podcast. 'And I feel like men can feel intimidated sometimes by successful chicks. I don't know why that is, but I think that's definitely valid for a lot of my friends. I think it takes a special person to date a professional tennis player, male or female, just because we travel so much and our lives revolve around our careers,' the WTA star added. 'You really have to be with someone who's selfless,' Danielle Collins said. Collins stressed the need for life partners to be selfless when their partners are successful, given the many factors to consider, such as diet, training, traveling, logistics, and so on. She also emphasized the importance of having partners who are supportive to help their partners accomplish what they want to. 'From when we go to bed to what we eat, training, all the logistics that go into it, you really have to be with someone who's selfless in that way and understands that we have a short window to accomplish what we want to accomplish,' she concluded.
