

Under the Minister of Defense, a Public Council is formed whose aim is to ensure civilian society participation in the implementation of the ministry's tasks and goals, to create a viable environment that promotes inclusive decision-making, and to encourage participatory governance and the involvement of stakeholder groups in the policy-making process. Applications for inclusion in the Council may be submitted by: 1) non-governmental, non-commercial organizations registered in Armenia (public associations, foundations or other forms provided by law, excluding political parties) which in the last five years have at least three years of activity in the defense sector and during that period have implemented at least two programs in that sector (including conducting expert work, participating in working groups and committees formed by the Ministry of Defense, collaborating with international organizations on sector-related issues, etc.); 2) individuals who in the last five years have at least three years of professional experience in the defense sector and during that period have participated in at least two programs in that sector (participating in sector-related programs, expert work, involvement in working groups or committees formed by the Ministry of Defense, collaborating with international organizations on sector-related issues, etc.); 3) non-governmental, non-commercial organizations registered in Armenia (public associations, foundations or other forms provided by law, excluding political parties) whose location address is in any community of Armenia, and that operate in the defense sector in that community or province, with at least two years of activity in that sector (including conducting expert work, participating in working groups or committees formed by the Ministry of Defense, the governor's office or community-formed working groups related to the sector, collaborating with international organizations on sector-related issues, etc.); 4) individuals registered in any Armenian community who carry out activities in the defense sector in that community or province, with at least two years of professional experience in that sector (participating in sector-related programs, expert work, involved in the Ministry of Defense, the governor's office or community-formed working groups or committees related to the sector, collaborating with international organizations on sector-related issues, etc.). In the application, the following should be indicated: the organization's name, location, the applicant's first and last name, the community or region where they operate, their experience in the defense sector or professional experience, and any other information at the applicant's discretion. The following documents are to be attached: a copy of the organization's state registration certificate or the unified state register of legal entities, the charter, a copy of the individual's passport, the registration address, the organization's and the individual's contact details (phone number, e-mail); the name, surname, passport details and contact details of the main representative of the organization who will participate in the Council's work; documents substantiating the organization's experience or the individual's professional experience in the relevant field (the required information may include the contract, delivery/acceptance act, an official letter from a state body or international organization, etc.).
