Dear drivers, as of today, operation of vehicles without appropriate winter tires will be prohibited. In particular, operation of a vehicle will be prohibited if - on light passenger cars and on freight vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tonnes, winter tires are not installed, - the remaining tread depth of winter tires designed for use in icy or snow-covered road conditions is 4 millimeters or less when driving under those conditions. Administrative liability measures apply for violations of these requirements. One of the priorities of the Police under the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to create a safe environment for the lives and health of citizens. Dear road users, the police urge you to observe traffic safety rules, procure winter tires with permissible tread depth, and display conscious, law-abiding and compliant behavior.
