The Prime Minister participated in the official dinner organized within the framework of Armenia's First Prayer Breakfast event, which was attended by more than 300 senior officials, state figures, and representatives from the diplomatic, business, and religious sectors from Armenia and abroad. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech and welcomed the participants of the evening held in the First Prayer Breakfast format. He noted that after seven years in office as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, this is the first time he has attended an event in this format, where representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Yazidi, Jewish, Armenian Catholic, Armenian Evangelical communities, as well as Assyrian, Orthodox churches, Muslims and people of other faiths were present. In his remarks, Pashinyan stated that religious tolerance has always been on the agenda, and this is one of those cases in which policies, statements, and decisions, among others, should be translated into concrete human interactions. The head of the state also added that these interactions are very important for getting to know the beliefs of Armenia's diverse religious communities and the faiths of national minorities. The event organized by Armenian civil society aims to promote dialogue and cooperation, based on Armenia's historical Christian identity, peace, and the moral principles that underpin leadership and freedom of religion. The long-term goal of the Prayer Breakfast is to shape a vision and view Armenia as a leading country in religious freedom and prosperity, with a society founded on faith, partnership, innovation, and peace. Through the Prayer Breakfast, Armenia joins the global tradition that unites leaders to reflect, pray, and find moral solutions to the challenges of our times, the press release states.
