

On November 14 in Tbilisi, the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan was received by the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili. The interlocutors discussed the bilateral partnership agenda between Armenia and Georgia. Mutually, it was emphasized that Armenia and Georgia are united by traditional friendship and commonalities between their peoples, mutual respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the two states, as well as stable economic ties. Addressing regional issues, Minister Mirzoyan noted: 'The beneficiaries of lasting peace are not only Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also Georgia and the broader region. From this, broader cross-geographical connectivity will also benefit.' The minister added that its organic continuation will be the development of cooperation in the South Caucasus, including in a trilateral format. The President of Georgia expressed support for this vision. The Armenian Foreign Minister and the President of Georgia exchanged views on launching new initiatives on the path of developing partnership between the two countries and on effective cooperation in overcoming contemporary challenges, the press release said.
