

A large number of police officers have been brought by buses and deployed on Republic Square in Yerevan in advance of the expected rally there as the organizers of the rally are preparing the stage for speeches. The rally is planned on Republic Square with protesters demanding to ensure support for the people in Nagorno-Karabakh that came under Azerbaijani fire. They also demand the resignation of Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan over his handling of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Earlier on Tuesday a spontaneous rally took place in Republic Square, during which there were clashes between the police and protesters. Police used stun grenades, dozens of people were injured.
