Pope Francis on Wednesday called for an end to the military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh and to seek peaceful solutions for the benefit of the people, RIA Novosti reports. "Yesterday, I learned about disturbing news from Nagorno-Karabakh, where the already dire humanitarian situation has worsened due to armed clashes. I call on all parties involved and the international community to silence the weapons and make every effort to find peaceful solutions that benefit people and respect human dignity," Pope Francis said during a general audience at Saint Peter's Square in Vatican City.
