Uruguay attaches importance to the progress in the work on the level of border delimitation and security commissions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the foreign ministry of Uruguay said in a statement, Armenpress reports. “Uruguay attaches importance to the progress in the work on the level of the border delimitation and security commissions of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which includes its enactment on November 1, 2024,” the Uruguayan foreign ministry said in the statement titled “South Caucasus Peace Process and Normalization of Relations," stressing the continuation of the delimitation based on the regulations on the basis of the principle of territorial integrity, which is in line with the internationally recognized borders. The foreign ministry of Uruguay added that these developments are a new signal of mutual confidence building and fundamental steps for achieving normalization and peace, which will bring stability, prosperity and sustainable development to the entire region.
