During Thursday’s debates on the 2025 state budget draft at the joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan reflected also on Armenia's relations with the European Union (EU) and, in that context, on the views of neighboring countries, particularly Iran. Mirzoyan noted that the normalization and development of relations with neighbors is a priority for Armenia. "It is not a secret for anyone what [kind of] relations we have with Iran. Of course, our policy towards the EU is not a secret for Iran, and we touch upon this matter as well in our regular contacts," said the Armenian FM. According to Mirzoyan, there is nothing that Armenia will do that “would be dissonant with Iran's views.”
