We are doing everything so that the peace treaty is concluded as soon as possible, we are doing everything so the unblocking happens as soon as possible Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan, told this to reporters at the NA Thursday. Rubinyan reminded that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan met in Istanbul recently and said: "Now an attempt is being made to make the signing of the peace treaty possible, and we are doing everything in that direction." To the question whether a mediator could be needed in these negotiations at some phase, Rubinyan responded: "Everything is possible. But at this phase the negotiations are bilateral. The format of negotiations at the level of foreign ministers was bilateral from the very beginning. During the actual negotiations, the parties were alone in the room. I can't rule out that the format might change at some point, but that's how it's been so far. The issue is in pragmatism and practicality." And regarding the remark that Armenia seems to be in a hurry to ratify the regulation on the joint activities of the border delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Rubinyan responded: "But why should we not hurry or wish the good thing be soon?"
