News - Armenia ex-President Robert Kocharyan: It’s my, my team's right to engage in politics until threats are gone

I have been in the office of both the Prime Minister and the President, those offices are not sweet, only unsophisticated people can cling [to them], and it will be their last dream. Second President Robert Kocharyan stated this, speaking with reporters at the courtyard of the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia Friday—and addressing the question of whether he is going to leave politics. "I have not been engaged in politics since April 9, 2008. In 2018, politics started dealing with me. The country is under such dangers, there have been such disasters, and they also started dealing with me, and that image forced me to return to politics. Until those threats are gone, it is my and my [political] team's right to engage in politics," said Kocharyan.
