As part of Ucom's regional network upgrade strategy, the modernization of mobile networks in the cities of Gyumri and Vanadzor has been completed. This long-term project is aimed at upgrading Ucom's mobile network across all the regions of Armenia. As a result of the upgrade, a more stable and faster mobile connection is becoming available in the regions. The network operates with modern 4G (LTE) and 4G+ technologies and is also ready for the transition to 5G. It should be noted that modernization is ongoing throughout Armenia and may occasionally cause some temporary interruptions while the transition from the old network to the new one takes place. "When we talk about customer care and delivering an excellent digital experience, we need to focus on technical modernization. As you can see, we have embarked on large-scale modernization efforts, replacing old stations with state-of-the-art, technologically advanced ones. We are also installing new stations in additional locations, elevating our infrastructure to a level that ensures a seamless and positive digital experience for our beloved subscribers," said General Director of Ucom, Ralph Yirikian. Worth mentioning that network modernization is carried out in cooperation with Nokia. Nokia is involved in upgrading Ucom's core infrastructure for both fixed and mobile networks and in building a new high-capacity IP transport network.
