News - Saudi Arabia plans to assist Lebanon amid escalation of conflict

Saudi Arabia plans to provide medical and relief aid to the people of Lebanon who are in "critical circumstances" after the start of the Israeli operation against Hezbollah. This is noted in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Saudi Arabia. "Based on the [Saudi] Kingdom’s supportive position towards our brothers in Lebanon, the Kingdom's leadership has issued directives to provide medical and relief aid to the Lebanese people to support them during these critical circumstances," noted the statement posted on the X—formerly Twitter—account of the Saudi. As noted in the statement, Saudi Arabia is following the situation in Lebanon with "great concern" and “stresses the need to preserve Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
