Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan on Friday received representatives of the World Bank (WB) Office in Armenia. Tafadzwa Dube, a senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the WB, joined this meeting online. The Local Economy and Infrastructure Development Project (LEIDP) and the Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Project (TRIP) were discussed, the aim of which is to improve infrastructure services and capacity in various provinces of Armenia, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The interlocutors exchanged views on details, financial components, scope of priority actions, and possible dates of implementation of the LEIDP and TRIP. They reflected also on the development of the tourism sector in Armenia and the chances of expansion of tourist clusters within the framework of the WB-assisted programs being implemented in the country.
