At Thursday's Cabinet meeting, the Armenian government approved the number one amendment to the development cooperation grant agreement between Armenia and the United States that was signed on September 10. With this amendment, the total amount of US assistance being provided to Armenia will increase by $130 million, bringing the total planned contribution to the country by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to $250 million in order to continue the implementation of programs under this agreement and to accept the scope of the programs. Additional financial allocations are planned for key domains in Armenia such as disaster risk management, cybersecurity, food and energy security, regional cooperation and trade, democratic processes, and inclusive economic development.
