Ambassador of Armenia presents Medals of Friendship to several France parliamentarians

During a solemn event held in the upper house of the French Parliament, the Senate, the Ambassador of Armenia to France, Hasmik Tolmajian presented the Medals of Friendship of Armenia to several French parliamentarians for their contribution to the strengthening and development of friendly relations between Armenia and France, and the protection of universal values. The President of the French Senate, Gerard  Larcher, delivered opening remarks at the event. Congratulating the Medals of Friendship recipients, Larcher reflected on the age-old Armenian-French friendship and the special ties between France and Armenia, and reaffirmed the continued support and solidarity of the French Senate to the Armenian people, as well as the commitment to always stand with Armenia. In her remarks, Ambassador Tolmajian reaffirmed Armenia's deep gratitude to the French Senate, in the person of speaker Larcher, for exceptional solidarity with the Armenian people and for standing with the people of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh through clear actions expressed in a number of manifestations. The ambassador of Armenia, congratulating the aforesaid French parliamentarians for being awarded the Medals of Friendship of Armenia, emphasized that these medals expresses Armenia's gratitude for their sincere friendship with Armenia and the Armenian people, great attention, and protection of the shared values that unite Armenia and France. Also, Tolmajian thanked the French lawmakers for their continued support to and exceptional solidarity with Armenia, and always keeping the issues of the Armenian people in the center of attention. In turn, the Medals of Friendship recipients—French Senator Pierre Ouzoulias; Anne-Laurence Petel, Head of the France-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group of the French National Assembly; and Francois-Xavier Bellamy, a French Member of the European Parliament—noted that it was a great honor and pride for them to receive these high awards by the decree of the President of Armenia. They emphasized that they will continue with the same conviction, consistency, and commitment to strengthen the relations and cooperation between France and Armenia, to raise the issues of concern to the Armenian people.
