The so-called "corridor" was and is an Armenian territory, and here we can put an end to it. This was stated by Michael Roth, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Bundestag—the German parliament, during a press conference in Yerevan Thursday. Roth considered this a very important, sensitive, and tangible point in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "For us, the position of Armenia is obvious, which leads to the fact that Yerevan itself is ready to ensure safe and free movement on this road [i.e. through Armenia’s Syunik Province]. But it is important that this territory remains the sovereign territory of Armenia; everything is said with that," added the German MP.
