Two Israeli soldiers were killed and several others wounded in rocket attacks by the Lebanese Hezbollah movement and drone strikes in northern Israel, on the border with Lebanon today, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. The names of the dead were released: they were Major Nael Fwarsi, 43, commander of the logistics company of the 299th Battalion of the 300th Regional Baram Brigade, and Sergeant Tomer Keren, 20, of the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade. According to the IDF, Fwarsi was killed and another soldier was lightly wounded after an explosive-laden drone launched by Hezbollah struck an area near Ya'ara in the Western Galilee.Keren was killed and eight other soldiers were wounded, including one seriously, after two anti-tank missiles fired from Lebanon struck positions in the Ramim Ridge area.
