Routh, 58, was charged with possession of a firearm while a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number during an initial appearance in federal court Monday. During the investigation, additional—and more serious—charges will probably be brought against him, reports DW. The first respective court session, according to CNN, took place in Palm Beach, Florida. The next court hearing is scheduled for September 23. The suspect will remain in prison until then.
