The French government has invited Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to the 19th Summit of La Francophonie, French ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies told a press conference Tuesday. On October 4 and 5, France will host the 19th Summit of La Francophonie in Villers-Cotterets commune and capital Paris. "In about ten days, the La Francophonie summit will take place in Villers-Cotterets city, where the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, will also be hosted. The subject of La Francophonie was discussed during French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne’s meetings with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan," said Ambassador Decottignies. According to him, the La Francophonie summit creates a special connection between the two countries. The French diplomat emphasized that this event is also of strategic importance for Armenia, as multi-sector cooperation is assumed in political, military, cultural, and some other domains.
