News - Upper Lars checkpoint to be temporarily closed between 5am and 9am

Repair work is planned to be carried out in the tunnel located in the neutral zone of the Upper Lars checkpoint, from September 18 to October 2, informs the customs attaché of the Armenian embassy in Russia. For this reason, the checkpoint will be closed in the aforesaid period, between 5am and 9am Armenia time. The Upper Lars motorway and its checkpoint on the Georgia-Russia border are the only land route that connects Russia with Armenia via Georgia.
