Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday received a delegation led by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Stephane Sejourne, the PM's office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The premier welcomed the visit of the delegation led by Sejourne to Armenia and emphasized the further development of relations with France, including in security and economy. "Our [i.e. Armenia] strategy is as follows: we want to fortify and strengthen our sovereignty, independence, our statehood; and in this road, of course, we highly value the support of France," said Pashinyan. Also, the Armenian PM stressed France's readiness to support the development of Armenia's relations with the EU. Sejourne, for his part, thanked for the warm welcome and also emphasized the importance of the consistent development of Armenia-France cooperation in security and economy. "France stands with Armenia and will continue its support to the Armenian people. Also, we have made every effort to strengthen the relations between our two peoples," added the French FM. The interlocutors discussed various matters on the agenda Armenia-France relations. Views were exchanged also on Armenia-EU cooperation. In addition, the parties reflected on the discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, as well as to the processes taking place in the region.
