Zhanna Andreasyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, stated this during a press conference Friday. "We have demanded from them in a written request to submit the possible dates of the concert. We are waiting for their response. According to our information, they are conducting negotiations on the days. At the moment, there is no additional news," added Andreasyan. She noted that there are two ways out in the current situation: "Either they will agree on the date and the concert will take place, or if they do not reach an agreement with the singer, the concert will not take place, all the obligations will be dissolved, all the money will be returned." Famous American rapper Snoop Dogg's concert in Armenia’s Yerevan was scheduled for September 23, 2023, but it was postponed. For that concert, and by the decision of the Armenian government, a contract of 2,318,596,800 drams (approx. US$6 million) were recorded in the treasury from the 2023 state budget. That amount was paid in full on August 25, 2023, but it has not been returned.
