Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: While they are not officially in a hurry to reveal in what format Armenia will participate in the unofficial summit of the CIS—[PM Nikol] Pashinyan? Or at the level of another official?—there is no doubt in the authorities’ circles that Nikol Pashinyan will participate in the unofficial summit of the CIS to be held on October 7-8. The thing is that October 7 is RF [(Russian Federation)] President Vladimir Putin's birthday, the [Armenian] authorities gloat that Pashinyan will not miss the opportunity to congratulate the [Russian] tsar [i.e. Putin] tête-à-tête, to "kiss” his “cross" in order to extend his power for a certain period of time, or remove the dangers hanging over his power. Let us note that the prime minister's spokesperson has confirmed that Pashinyan will participate in the BRICS summit, which will be held on October 22-24 in Kazan [in Russia]. And on [Armenia’s] Independence Day [anniversary], September 21, the French president may arrive in Armenia. So, neither the West nor Russia is neglected [by Armenia]. It's just not clear how long this tightrope walking will live.
