The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, received the Secretary General of the UN Tourism, Zurab Pololikashvili, the PM’s office informs. The premier emphasized the consistent development of cooperation between the Armenian government and the UN Tourism and the implementation of joint projects in this sector. Noting that the tourism sector is of key importance for the Armenian government, the prime minister underscored as well the need to develop regional tourism packages. In turn, Pololikashvili noted that Armenia has a great potential for the development of the tourism sector, and in that regard, he underscored the Global Wine Tourism Festival being held in Armenia these days. According to the Secretary General of the UN Tourism, this event also contributes to the development of tourism outside of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The interlocutors highlighted the work carried out toward the development of the tourism investment guide of Armenia, whose presentation will be held this evening.
