Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, on Tuesday received a delegation led by Peter Szijarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary, informs the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia. Sanosyan emphasized the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in various domains. Szijarto, in turn, stressed that after the re-establishment of Hungary’s diplomatic relations with Armenia, a lot of work has already been done in various directions, noticeable work has been done in economic cooperation, Budapest-Yerevan-Budapest direct flights have been established, and trade between the two countries has increased considerably. Also, the Hungarian FM expressed his wish to expand cooperation in the energy sector as well. Minister Sanosyan, for his part, reaffirmed Armenia's wish to join the project of the cable crossing the bottom of the Black Sea, and to become one of the member countries that are part of this project. Also, he emphasized that electricity production from renewable energy resources has been developing rapidly in Armenia in recent years. In addition, Sanosyan thanked the FM of Hungary for his country’s providing humanitarian assistance to Armenia, especially for the forcibly displaced Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. Furthermore, the minister of territorial administration and infrastructure of Armenia underscored the development of interregional decentralized cooperation between the administrative and territorial units of Armenia and Hungary. Also, they discussed the deepening of economic cooperation, as well as cooperation in the energy sector. Both parties emphasized joint efforts to deepen cooperation in various other domains.
