Twelve killed people were found in the western part of Colombia where several armed groups operate. "A judgment took pace in a rural area of the municipality of Lopez de Micay in the Cauca Departmen, during which five women and seven men were killed," the aforesaid NGO said. According to the Colombian armed forces, this was retaliation between members of the disbanded rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and members of an armed group led by Ivan Mordisco. "It is known about the alleged disagreements in the issue of drug control," said Colombian military forces’ chief Francisco Cabides, reports Semana magazine. According to him, these casualties were in civilian clothes and unarmed.
