News - Prospects of increasing Armenia-UAE trade discussed

Armenian Deputy Economy Minister Narek Teryan on Tuesday received Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The prospects of increasing the amount of trade between the two countries, and the possibilities of cooperation between their business communities were discussed. The fact that Emirati companies actively invest in the economy of Armenia, especially in recent years, was highly appreciated. Views were exchanged on the development of economic ties and the implementation of investment programs in various domains between the two countries. During the meeting, the parties touched also upon food safety and the establishment of a solar power plant in Armenia by the Masdar company of the United Arab Emirates.
