The investigation of the detained military-political leadership of Nagorno-Karabakh has been completed, the case materials will soon be sent to the Azerbaijani court, the prosecutor general of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, said in an interview with NEWS.ru. "Now the conduct of all those investigative measures will be carried out in court, in accordance with international norms and the criminal law of Azerbaijan," Aliyev added. According to official figures, there are 22 Armenian captives in Azerbaijan, 17 of whom were captured as a result of the 2023 military aggression by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh. Among them are the former presidents of Nagorno-Karabakh Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan and Arayik Harutyunyan, former Minister of State Ruben Vardanyan, former Commander of the Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan and former Deputy Commander Davit Manukyan, and former Foreign Minister David Babayan.
