Armenia's Deputy Economy Minister Arman Khojoyan visited the national collection vineyard in Armavir Province, together with Director General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Qu Dongyu, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The aforesaid vineyard was founded in 2016 within the framework of the "Technical assistance for grape phylloxera resistant certified planting material production" project of FAO. It is the only complete collection vineyard in Armenia, where there are around 400 genotypes of Armenian grapes. The FAO chief and the other visiting members of this organization got familiarized with the improvement work carried out and ongoing in this vineyard. Also, Arman Khojoyan and the FAO delegation led by Qu Dongyu also visited the greenhouse and fruit-drying facility established in No. 1 Primary School of Vedi town—and with the assistance of FAO.
