During the meeting, the implementation of the judgments of the ECtHR by Armenia and the respective measures being taken were discussed. Hovhannisyan lauded the Armenia-CoE cooperation and the special role of the ECtHR, which is an important component of it, in the continued strengthening of human rights, democracy, and the rule of law in Armenia. The importance of the implementation of the judgments of the ECtHR was emphasized both in terms of the protection of individual rights and the system reforms undertaken at the state level and the development of skills, which the competent agencies of Armenia, with the expert assistance of the CoE, implement within the framework of the Armenia-Council of Europe Action Plan. The interlocutors noted the indicators of Armenia’s high execution of ECtHR judgments, reaffirming the mutual commitment to continue the close cooperation formed for the purpose of increasing the efficiency of the execution of ECtHR judgments. The discussions between the delegation of the CoE in the MFA of Armenia continued also with the office of the representative of Armenia on international legal affairs and the officials of the respective departments and agencies of Armenia.
