The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia does not comment on whether the matter of transferring the overseeing of future Nakhichevan-Syunik Province-Azerbaijan communication to a private company is being discussed with Baku, reports Sputnik Armenia. "The Republic of Armenia is constructively engaged in the process of unblocking regional channels, based on the vision built on the principles of respect for sovereignty and national jurisdiction, equality, and reciprocity," the MFA of Armenia said in response to Sputnik Armenia's inquiry. Earlier, the political scientist Sergey Melkonyan had stated that during the last meeting at the level of foreign ministers, Armenia and Azerbaijan had discussed the possibility of transferring the overseeing of future regional communications to an international private security company. On August 31, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia is ready to provide motorways for connecting Nakhichevan, an exclave of Azerbaijan, with the latter without belittling and questioning Armenia’s territorial integrity and the inviolability of its borders.
