News - Armenia defense minister ceremoniously welcomed at Georgia MoD (PHOTOS)

Within the framework of his official visit to Georgia, a welcoming ceremony for Armenia’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan took place Monday at the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Georgia, featuring a guard of honor and a military band, and the national anthems of both countries were played, the MoD of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. After the welcoming ceremony, the private conversation between the ministers of defense of Armenia and Georgia started, which continued with the expanded delegations. During the meeting, the ministers highlighted the intensification and enhancement of cooperation in the military education, as well as the importance of establishing long-term and stable peace in the region. Also, an agreement was reached to study the possibilities of further expansion of bilateral defense cooperation and inclusion of new domains through mutual visits of various groups. In addition, the heads of the defense ministries of Armenia and Georgia discussed a number of other matters related to Armenia-Georgia cooperation in defense and regional security.
