

Armenia has sent a letter to UN Security Council, in parallel with France, requesting an emergency meeting on Azerbaijan’s large-scale military aggression against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. Spokesperson of MFA of Armenia Ani Badalyan wrote on her microblog on X. “The meeting will convene on September 21. Clear condemnation and appropriate action is urgently required,” she wrote. Earlier today, Azerbaijan՛s Armed Forces unleashed military aggression against Nagorno Karabakh, using artillery and other heavy weapons. They attempted to penetrate into the depth of the defense line of the Defense Forces of Nagorno-Karabakh. Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, has come under heavy shelling now. The Human Rights Defender of Nagorno-Karabakh, Gegham Stepanyan, reported that there are multiple casualties and injuries among civilians, including children.
