At Thursday's cabinet session, the Armenian government approved the draft law of Armenia to ratify the agreement between the governments of Armenia and the US on mutual assistance between their customs authorities. With the application of this agreement, the problems arising during the exchange of information and the implementation of inquiries caused by the absence of an international document regulating the inquiries between the customs services of the two countries will be settled. Taking into account the high indicators of trade between Armenia and the US, this agreement will contribute to the faster and more prompt response and proper resolution of issues arising during the export and import of goods. The adoption of the provisions of this agreement will lead to the need to allocate additional funds from the state budget of Armenia. The agreement provides for the exchange of personal data between the customs authorities of the two parties.
